Buying Handmade - Soaps

The Internet is a wonderful tool for changing the world... or for changing how you live. Even little things are doable, like deciding to move away from large chain stores and beginning to focus on buying from small vendors who craft their items by hand. I first am in the market for some handmade soaps. Etsy to the rescue!

Ultimate Organic Soap -- Nicole Lara Lajeunesse Bøe in Norway.

Summer Festival of Arts and Education - Toronto

So many fabulous things happening this summer! Here's a link to "Encounters with Imagination: A festival of arts and education" held at the Rudolf Steiner Centre Ontario from July 11-22, 2011.

They are also offering "Healing Education and Remedial Training" for teachers, therapists, and homeschoolers, a summer intensive course from July 25-29, 2011.

Gyotaku Fish Printing

I'm so excited... today at last I am buying rubber fish for fish printing! This has been a dream of mine for several years.

"Cast from real fish, these rubber replicas are life size, ranging from 6" (starfish) to 12" long (trout), and are flat on one side."

You can buy them in sets (4 piece fish set, 9 piece fish set) or mix-and-match to create your own perfect combination. I'm getting a set of six fish: angel fish, bass, blue gill, flounder, perch, walleye.
