List of Reading Like a Historian Lessons - SHEG

I'm doing some professional development right now from Stanford History Education Group (SHEG) and I just wanted to share their current list of Reading Like a Historian history lessons.

In Waldorf, true history begins in 6th grade, starting with World History (Greek and Roman History, the Middle Ages). 7th grade includes the Age of Exploration and the Renaissance & Reformation. 8th grade includes the Age of Revolution and U.S. History to the present day. History is covered chronologically, so U.S. History is not taught until when the U.S. began! There's a lot of U.S. History to cover, so it's a good idea to be prepared with a short list of trusted resources, and SHEG delivers.

These lessons are all FREE and they are fantastic!!! All based on primary sources and include tension (conflicting information between the viewpoints) that gives students great practice in critical thinking.

Highly Recommended!
