Jokes for Reluctant Readers: Valentine Edition

Several years ago, I compiled all the notes in this blog of Stories & Traditions for St. Valentine's Day. This holiday is one of my favorites for stories & gifts. (Of course, I can't give away what kinds of valentines the children are making in school this year, but I'll have photos after they are finished!)

If you are writing a valentine to your child, or your child is writing a valentine to a friend, here are a few fun jokes:

Who always has a date on Valentine's Day?
    A calendar.

What do you call the world's smallest Valentine’s Day card?
    A valen-teeny.

What did the farmer give his wife for Valentine’s Day?
    Hogs and kisses.

What kind of flowers should you NOT give on Valentine’s Day?
    Cauliflowers!

What did the painter say to her sweetheart?
I love you with all my art.

Why should you never date a tennis player?
Because love means nothing to them.

And, here are lots more Jokes for Reluctant Readers! Enjoy!
