Three Books for My Eighth-Grader

Let us not forget that I'm also homeschooling my eighth grade daughter, Becca. Primarily unschooling, she is taking a ton of courses outside the home. She has Spanish on Mondays, Art on Tuesdays, Farm Day on Wednesdays, Cultural Studies and Geography on Thursdays and Fridays, Yoga and an apprenticeship at the Town Square Market kitchen on Thursdays, Machine Sewing on Fridays, and Social Justice on Sundays.

She's also in our public middle school production of Beauty and the Beast.

With me, she is doing Mathematics (Jamie York's 8th grade book with the Square Root Algorithm block from his 7th grade book thrown in there as well), Language Arts, History (The Age of Revolution up to modern day), and Chemistry.

I've been collecting resource recommendations, especially for Chemistry, and this evening I just ordered three new books for her. I'm very excited!

Breakfast on Mars and 37 Other Delectable Essays:
