Advent Tree Photos

Here are all of the animals on our lovely Advent Tree for All Creation Waits, an amazing story for Nature Study in December.

The complete lists of animals included in this book, plus links to where I got all the ornaments I purchased this year, is here. I still have three to make:

Opossum - which I plan to needle felt

Common Garter Snake - which I plan to sew out of wool felt and embroider

Meadow Vole - which I plan to needle felt

Gayle Boss lives in the Great Lakes region but all of the animals were still relevant to us in Southern Illinois. The children absolutely loved this book!

People with sharp eyes will notice that the woodchuck is also not represented. I ordered a wonderful needle-felted ornament from an Etsy seller who is delivering it to us in time for Groundhog Day!
