For the month of November I shared a collection of Hawaiian myths as our lunchtime read aloud stories. We've chosen "The Time of Deep Darkness" and "Spears of Lightning" from
Hawaiian Myths of Earth, Sea, and Sky by Vivian L. Thompson.
The Elementary students are very much looking forward to making these myths the subject of our December Class Play! So, before we head into the busy month of December, I want to share some general classroom photos from the second half of November, including the Elementary Art field trip to
Alto Clay Works in Alto Pass. (Just a reminder that their
6th annual Fall Pottery Sale & Open House is happening this weekend, Nov 29 - Dec 1, and the showroom will be full of bowls, plates, cups, jars, pitchers, tumblers, and teapots! Oh, and cookies. And hot cider.)
I will also make a separate post just with the pictures from the Quality of Numbers main lesson block.
