Puppet Making!

Since we are making puppets this year for our Class Play, Aesop's Fables & Puppetry, I'm starting to gather (and list) the books I have about puppets.



Let me know if you have other titles to recommend.

I LOVE Suzanne Down's work at Juniper Tree School of Puppetry. She has many wonderful storytelling books. During COVID I took her yearlong certificate course in Puppetry! Actually, I have taken lots of her workshops both online and in person (including two trips to Boulder CO for five-day workshops). I'm looking forward to December. It's going to be so much fun!

In November we will be reading Aesop's Fables so that we can start to think about our favorites. Our artist for the month of November will be Mary Blair, who was well known for creating amazing visual images to go along with stories. I think she will be really inspirational to the children.
